What you didn’t know about Panasonic

Panasonic was founded in 1918 by Konosuke Matsushita in a cramped basement run by himself and a handful of family members.  He had no capital, formal education, or experience in manufacturing. But Matsushita was a forward-thinker with a mission to manufacture the new and improved light socket he had created -- which his former boss had ignored.

The small company struggled, he had to pawn his wife’s kimono to make ends meet and personally marketed his inventions to retailer shops. Gradually, his hard work paid off and Panasonic became popular for its innovative products that were better quality and more affordable than its competitors.

The company grew beyond what Matsushita could have ever imagined, but he continued working to enhance the world’s quality of life through progress, societal development, and the well-being of people through business.

A hundred years later, this is still the core vision of Panasonic. The only difference is that now it leverages today’s technology to expand on Matsushita’s vision in amazingly creative ways. Panasonic remains a tight community of people from all over the globe, coming together and creating a better world.

At VOICE, you’ll have the opportunity to become a part of it.

What it’s like to work at Panasonic

For a global corporation with offices all over the world, Panasonic places an exceptional importance on the well-being of their employees.

“High work flexibility and good work life balance,” says one former employee on Glassdoor. “Good compensation. Friendly working environment,” says another.

Sounds like an awesome place to work, right? That’s no happy accident, Panasonic careers are built on camaraderie where everyone thrives in a collaborative work culture to drive contributions to society. Here employees value their coworkers and feel invested in how they touch the lives of everyone using Panasonic products and services. If you feel the same way, then you’ll feel right at home.

A peek inside the team

Are you a fun and proactive team player? If so, then you’ll fit right in with Panasonic’s dedicated team. They innovate for people just as much as they do for technology. So you can expect a rewarding work environment that evolves as the team shares their ideas for improvement.

But let’s get to the real question: what about diversity? Panasonic is one of those cool companies that strongly believe inclusion and diversity are key to innovation. They welcome a variety of backgrounds, mindsets and experiences to help challenge the status quo. (Konosuke Matsushita would be proud.)

Advance your career with Panasonic

Every company likes to say they offer you the chance to develop your career, then you get in and find yourself in the exact same position you were a year ago. But Panasonic has proven itself to be different.

Being a global corporation, they leverage their size and strength to help you advance in your career and move up internally. Whether you want to learn and grow in a single field, or develop your cross-functional capabilities -- Panasonic has your back.
