Entry Process

Eligibility

Any submission for the 2019 VOICE-First Awards must have launched, re-launched prior to April 15, 2019.

For the purposes of the 2019 VOICE-First Awards eligibility, “launched” may mean any of the following things:

  • When an innovation is created and released

  • When a unique technology application is developed and released

  • When a prototype or demo is created and distributed

  • When the product is made commercially available

  • When a project or product is publicly released

Nomination Process

Nominations may be made at voicesummit.ai/voice-first-awards. Nominations must include the project title and description, owner/developer name and contact information. Organizations and developers may self-nominate. The contact name given will be used to send application information. Only those nominated will be given the opportunity to apply.

The nomination period is from February 18, 2019 to April 15, 2019.

Application Process

Applicants may enter multiple projects or products.

A project or product may be entered in multiple categories. There will be an additional application fee for each additional category in which the project or product is entered. All finalists become eligible for the Colleagues’ Choice Award – there is no need to apply for this award separately.

All applications are due on or before April 15, 2019. Evaluations of the entries begin immediately after the Application Process ends. Finalists will be announced on May 15, 2019 and finalists will have 15 days to confirm their participation in the Innovation Village.

Please be sure your application is complete before submitting it. Entries may not be changed or updated once the evaluation process has begun. If you believe you have made an error on your application or have submitted the entry prematurely, please contact (insert email) immediately.

Entry Fee

There is no entry fee to nominate someone for an award. All VOICE-First Awards entrants will be given the opportunity to register to attend VOICE 2019 at the lowest registration rate and finalists receive two All Access registration passes to attend VOICE 2019.

Judging and Evaluation

Each category is narrowed down to no more than three finalists, based on the entry’s application, by a panel of judges. Entries will be evaluated on four criteria (ratings 1-10):

  • Creativity / Innovation

  • Accuracy / Understanding

  • Market fit / Demand / Solves a Problem

  • Overall Voice User Experience

Finalist Showcase/Innovation Village

The finalists in each of the 12 categories will be announced on May 15, 2019 (up to three finalists per category). Each finalist will receive a complimentary registration to attend the VOICE 2019.

Winners in each of the 12 categories and the Colleagues’ Choice Award will be announced at the VOICE Awards Ceremony on July 23, 2019.

Please Note: VOICE 2019 and its management team, Modev, reserves the right to place applicants’ entries in the most relevant category. This includes changing an applicant entry’s category based on response to the event and/or the applicant choosing a non-relevant category.

Confidentiality

All preliminary application information that is submitted is confidential and will be only viewed by 2019 VOICE staff and the judging panelists.
